Story
Problem
A pre-programme survey across Brand Management, Retail, SCM, Site Strategy, Monetization, and more revealed a pattern that cut across every function. Teams were capable, but buried in the operational layer:
• 77% cited data analysis and reporting as their biggest time drain - pulling OLAP exports, converting raw dumps, writing dashboard commentary across brand, SKU, and category cuts.
• 48% were spending significant time building leadership decks manually from Excel - formatting, updating layouts, and creating presentation templates from scratch.
• 25% flagged cross-team coordination and follow-ups as a major bandwidth drain - chasing approvals, aligning brand managers, planners, and sourcing teams.
• 25% were spending time drafting weekly and MTD performance emails, brand reports, PRDs, and BRDs - documents created from scratch every cycle.
• 23% flagged demand planning and forecasting as manual and static - limited dimensions, no seasonality or cannibalization inputs.
Solution
BOTS.ai (by HR Anexi) designed and delivered PromptStart & PromptPro programme that moved Nykaa's teams from passive awareness to hands-on, role-specific execution. Rather than teaching AI as a concept, participants were placed directly inside real business scenarios from their own functions and asked to solve them using AI - live, with real data formats and real deliverables.
The intervention included:
1. Pre-Programme Diagnostic
A structured prework survey and discussions with the team captured current AI usage, biggest time drains, and expectations from the programme. The findings shaped every use case, ensuring the training addressed real pain, not assumed pain.
2. 4 hour PromptStart session
Participants explored how Generative AI is already reshaping the industry from conversational commerce and agentic supply chain planning to real-time campaign intelligence and positioned themselves within that shift with demonstration of live usecases and various possibilities of AI within their industry. The session also covered prompting techniques and understanding of safe and smart usage of AI.
4. PromptPro - Functional AI Sprints Across 12 Cohorts covered across 3 days
The core of the programme. Twelve functional cohorts - Brand Management, SCM, Customer Service, Operations, Superstore, Business Finance, Retail, NYKD, Site Strategy, Monetization, Performance Marketing, and CLM, each worked through 5 - 6 live use cases from their own function, using real data formats, producing real outputs in real time.
