K Hospitality operates a complex multi-brand, multi-format business - spanning Travel Food Services (TFS) across airports, restaurant brands in malls and highways, banquets and catering, and franchise and brand partnerships. A prework survey surfaced six consistent challenges across every vertical:

• Inefficient and slow processes - multiple handoffs, delays, approvals, and lack of automation were creating friction at every level.

• Manual and repetitive work - routine tasks consuming time that should have gone to operations and guest experience.

• Operational workload leaving little room for strategic thinking.

• Handling and making sense of large volumes of data - analysis, insights, and data-heavy decision-making were all manual.

• High effort on documentation and reporting - MoMs, presentations, reports, and trackers were being built from scratch every cycle.

• Gaps in coordination and follow-ups across teams - cross-functional alignment and communication issues were a constant drain.

Solution

BOTS.ai (by HR Anexi) designed and delivered an AI for Leadership programme (PromptStart), 2 days AI enablement session combining industry intelligence, prompt mastery, 10 real tasks from K Hospitality's own operations, solved live using AI tools.

The intervention included:

1. How AI is Reshaping Hospitality & F&B

Participants explored how global players from Zomato and Starbucks to Marriott and Pandora are already using AI for guest personalisation, demand forecasting, waste reduction, and revenue management. The session anchored AI in a business context participants already understood.

2. GenAI 101 and Prompting Masterclass

Understanding Generative AI vs traditional AI and how Large Language Models (LLMs) work (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot). How AI will change your job, your tasks, your industry. Participants worked through prompt surgery on a real K Hospitality sales call transcript - experiencing firsthand the difference between a weak prompt ('Summarise this call') and a structured Role-Task-Context-Reasoning-Output prompt.

3. Safe, Smart & Secure AI Use

A tailored module on AI risks in hospitality - including examples of AI fraud using generated images and hallucination in food service contexts along with discussion on how to build a responsible AI culture.

4. K Hospitality Tasks, Live Usecases

10 tasks across functions that K Hospitality employees perform regularly: vendor evaluation, outlet operations issue analysis, pitch deck enhancement, profitability drivers dashboard, menu categorisation and pricing check, guest complaint theme analysis, strategic partner communication, peak travel season supply chain planning, competitive analysis, and sales and order pattern analysis. Each task came with its 'manual time' label and participants solved it in minutes using AI.
